Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound scans provide a real-time visualisation of the organs of your abdominal region. This includes liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, ureter, bladder etc. It is used to detect abnormal conditions such as tumours, aneurysms, collection of pus, fluids, cysts and clots in blood vessels.

Pelvic Ultrasound

Pelvic ultrasound is a diagnostic technique to examine and assess female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus and uterus lining, cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes and vagina. It is performed externally via the abdomen (known as a trans-abdominal scan) or internally, through the vagina (trans-vaginal scan). Ultrasound is safe for use during pregnancy.

A male pelvic ultrasound scan is used to detect tumours, urinary problems, kidney stones and other problems of the bladder, prostate and kidneys.

Musculo-skeletal Ultrasound

Ultrasound diagnostic imaging is an accurate technique for the examination of painful muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. It detects strains, sprains, tears and joint abnormalities and. It is an important diagnostic imaging technique in sports injuries, particularly for determining the cause or causes of shoulder pain and muscular tears.

Doppler Ultrasound or Duplex Study

Ultrasound provides a safe and non-invasive method of detecting vascular conditions and diseases. It shows the speed and direction of blood flow inside arteries, veins and capillaries which helps with the diagnosis of several life-threatening conditions such as aneurysms, deep venous thrombosis and narrowing of the blood vessels in the limbs.

The duplex technique combines doppler ultrasound with regular ultrasound. It is used for venous mapping prior to heart bypass surgery and to reveal renal artery disease and cerebrovascular disease and others.

Breast Ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is a safe non-invasive and painless method used by our highly trained professionals to diagnose abnormalities like lumps, cysts and possible tumours in the breast that your doctor may have found. It can show the the area closest to the chest wall, which is difficult to observe with a mammogram. Breast ultrasound does not use X-rays or other potentially harmful types of ionising radiation.
